It’s been over a year since Lil Wayne first began throwing jabs at Birdman and Cash Money over allegedly not being paid the royalties that he deserves. As the lawsuit continues to play out in court, details surrounding the situation are slowly being revealed; and now we finally have an idea about just what is making Lil Wayne want to leave.
New legal papers show that Lil Wayne was promised a huge chunk of mulla by Cash Money (of which Birdman and Slim are the heads), money that was given to the label by Universal Music Group. Young Money did not receive any of that.
But it doesn’t stop there.
Apparently the deal that Weezy signed with Cash Money stipulates that Lil Wayne was to release a total of 21 albums in a period of just seven years. So far Lil Wayne has released 13.
As much as he calls himself a martian, it is not humanly possible to release 3 (good) albums every year!
