Ty Dolla $ign Becomes ROTW With His ‘Ex’ Single

Ty Dolla $ign has been announced as this year’s Jameson headline act and he is currently this week’s Record of the Week thanks to his YG featured single ‘Ex’

Released as part of his ‘Beach House 3’ project, Ty Dolla $ign teams up with producer Bongo By The Way on this jam which you’ll be hearing quite a bit now that’s it’s taken over as the ROTW.

Ty Dolla’s ‘Beach House 3’ features artists like Jeremiah, Lil Wayne, The Dream and Skrillex and its release came amidst a heated lawsuit against both Ty and YG, filed by a man who claims he suffered major injuries at a 2015 club beating incident at one of this star’s stagings.

Here’s ‘Ex’.

I just text my main chick
I told her I ain’t coming home

Bongo By The Way.(ex)

Mixing Henny with the Bombay
F**k it, I done had a long day

Yeahh versuri-lyrics.info
Riding ’round with it on me
Got me thinking about all my old days
I been getting money four ways
R. Kelly, “12 Play” with the foreplay
I know, I be up to no good
Baby, I know, I’m just misunderstood.

I just text my main chick
I told her I ain’t coming home
I just text my main chick
I told her, I ain’t coming home, tonight
I just text my main chick
I told her, I ain’t coming home tonight.

Ohh, how you living, nigga, how you living? (skrt)
I’m on jet ski’s with naked bitches
Give my last to these naked bitches
Leave your main squeeze for these naked bitches, yeah
That’s how, you know, when it’s all bad
She call me or text, I could call back
But she imagine in her head I’m doing all that
I tell her I’m not, she like, YG, you a thot.

I know, I be up to no good
Baby, I know, I’m just misunderstood.

Yeah, yeah
A hundred times, told her, I was gon’ stop
But it’s kind of hard, when every night them bottles pop
Yeah, yeah
It’s kind of hard, when you’re making your watch
Make all them nines and tens flop

I just text my main chick
I told her I ain’t coming home
I just text my main chick
I told her I ain’t coming home, tonight
I just text my main chick
I told her I ain’t coming home tonighttt.

YG Offers to Perform ‘FDT’ at Donald Trump’s Inauguration for $4 Million

The Compton rapper has offered to perform his anti-Trump anthem “FDT” at Trump’s upcoming inauguration. However, his proposal came with a $4 million caveat.

“I’ll perform Fuck Donald Trump at his inauguration for $4,000,000,” he tweeted.

Trump’s inauguration week has been the source of controversy. Singer Jennifer Holliday recently backed out of a performance at a January 19 event called “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration.” She said she stood with the LGBTQ community and would not endorse Trump with a performance. Rock band 3 Doors Down and country star Toby Keith are still on board with the show.

Previously, the Radio City Rockettes found themselves under criticism for accepting an invite to perform at the January 20th inauguration ceremony.

A single off YG’s 2016 album Still Brazy, the Nipsey Hussle-assisted “FDT” — short for “F**k Donald Trump” — is highly critical of the President-elect. “Woke up one morning and heard this weird ass mothaf**ker talkin’ out the side of his neck,” says the 4Hunnid boss. “Me and all my peoples, we always thought he was straight. Influential mothaf**ker when it came to the business. But now, since we know how you really feel, this how we feel: f**k Donald Trump.”

YG Announces ‘Just Re’d Up 3’ Mixtape

Rapper YG is not resting on his laurels, he’s looking for a re-up. Fresh from releasing his previous mixtape Red Friday, the Bompton native is planning to drop another project next year.

Over the weekend, YG went on his various social media accounts to announce that his next mixtape is called Just Re’d Up 3. The tape, which the 4Hunnid leader said is “for the streets and my good peoples,” will be executive produced by DJ Mustard. The new release marks a return to form for Mustard and YG, who fell out after their work together on My Krazy Life. Since then, the longtime friends have patched things up and are back in the lab.

The original Just Re’d Up mixtape was released back in 2011 and the sequel dropped in 013. No track list was revealed for Just Re’d Up 3 and there’s no word if the project will include guest features.

Last month, during the Thanksgiving holiday, YG dropped the Red Friday project for major consumption on the internet. The 26-year-old rapper also sold physical copies of the project for $100 a piece. The eight-song tape featured guest appearances from 21 Savage, RJ and Mitch.

Recently, YG teamed up with Lil Wayne for a G-Funk-inspired banger “Trill.” On the song, produced by Boi-1da and T-Minus, YG shares his financial goals for 2016 and beyond.

“What’s the plan? See, the plan is to stack 100 grand / Turn 100 grand to a million / Turn that million to a billion, turn that million to a trillion / Cause all my life, I’ve been a trill n—-,” he spits.

Prior to announcing Just Re’d Up 3, YG and Mustard also promised 400 Summers, a joint project set to celebrate their reunion as a one-two Cali punch.

Expect YG to be still brazy in 2017.

Possibility of Savage Mode 2?

21 Savage has undoubtedly had the most lit 2016. Just yesterday, the Atlanta rapper graced the cover of The Fader. If that wasn’t too much sauce already, it’s reported that 21 and Metro have a good 20-30 more records done together, which could possibly make up a second installment of Savage Mode. Nothing has been formalized or announced officially yet but it’s a definite possibility.

In the story on Fader magazine, Metro also speaks on why he works so freely with 21 Savage. He reveals that the two had mutual friends, and thus crossed paths in the studio before 21 took up rap- but once he did start to rap, he approached Metro Boomin about it. “It’s crazy, people try that with me every day,” Metro says of 21’s tactic. “But — I can’t even tell you all the way what it was — sometimes something just tells you to do sh*t.”

His previous joint album with Metro Boomin, Savage Mode, was undoubtedly epic, being his most successful project thus far. This being a “could be” follow-up album, 21 Savage is destined to rise higher in the hip hop ranks with Savage Mode 2.

YG Shares Cover To ‘Red Friday Mixtape’ With A $100 Price Tag

Following success from his sophomore album, Still Brazy, YG is set to drop Red Friday. It will be YG’s first solo tape since January 2013’s Just Re’d Up 2 and yes, you read it right, to cop this tape you’ll need $100 (ksh 10,000). If that price tag isn’t making you squirm a bit, then maybe the fact that there are only 1,400 hard copies will.
“So I just linked up with bro Nipsey Hussle and his Proud 2 Pay direct to consumer platform to do the world’s 2nd $100 CD,” YG wrote on Instagram Monday evening. “SUPER FANS & SUPER SUPPORTERS ONLY,” he continued, explaining that they will be available at an in-store signing and meet-and-greet event in Oakland on release day (November 25).
The tape will include extensive production from DJ Mustard, the man who joined YG on all of his early mixtapes. Mustard was left off of Still Brazy, though he linked up with YG for three tracks on his own album, Cold Summer, released in September.
