Rihanna To Launch Lingerie Line

Rihanna is adding on to her growing list of businesses.

After releasing her make-up line Fenty beauty a few months back, the “Work” Hit maker is reportedly working on a lingerie line. According to WWD, the collection has been in the works for over a year and TechStyle has already produced samples.

Meanwhile, Riri’s makeup line has become so massively successful that it’s on track to outsell lines by Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian. The pop superstar recently raised $2.3 billion for global education, proving that business and music is not all that she focuses on.

There’s still no news on when the lingerie collection will be unveiled but meanwhile, her Spring/Summer 2018 Fenty x Puma collection is set to drop March 15.

Rihanna To Have Street In Barbados Named After Her

Barbados-born artist Rihanna is set to join the list of few artists in the continent with streets named after them.

To commemorate its independence on the 30th of November this year, the island of Barbados has decided to honor Rihanna by renaming a street after her.

According to Loop News Barbados, the street Westbury New Road where Rihanna grew up will be renamed Rihanna Drive.

The country’s Ministry of Tourism disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday:

“The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday, November 30, 2017 officially change the name of  Westbury New Road located in  St. Michael  to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road.”

Rihanna has always showed so much love for her roots, taking part in numerous charitable efforts in support of her home nation.

Watch Steph Kapela Body DJ Khaled’s ‘Wild Thoughts’ (Video)

He’s part of this year’s Jump Off Freshmen class and while all eyes are on all of the young fresh emcees on that list to see how they live up to being the representation of the new nu sound (#NuLife) of music in Nairobi, Steph is definitely putting in work.

This ‘Got The Sauce’ rapper has enjoyed a fast rise to fame (at least in our eyes) and has featured on many a television and radio interviews, one of his most recent features being his epic rap battle with Ignition HBR’s Mike Wachira The King Slayer, where let’s just say, he was slain.

Even so, we know he’s got rap skills having watched him go ham on his weekly freestyle sessions (#FreeSteph Fridays) and we know he’s got a great personality from the insane interviews he gives but one thing we also know, is that he can sing!

It’s probably the one thing that sets him apart from the rest of the freshmen and might be the ‘sauce’ on all of his jams, including most recent release ‘Only One’ featuring singer Wendy Kemunto.

Well, watch Steph Kapela flex his vocal skills in an overly plausible rendition of DJ Khaled’s ‘Wild Thoughts’ in the most recent edition of JamHuri Jam Sessions.

Rihanna And Lupita To Co-Star In Netflix Movie

This picture of Rihanna and Lupita at a Miu Miu fashion show in 2014. went viral and now it has inspired a prospective movie.

Riri and Lupita

Entertainment Weekly reported that Netflix has secured a deal for the concept at the Cannes Film Festival after a “dramatic negotiation session.”

The picture went viral after Twitter user 1800SADGAL tweeted it out, joking that in the image, “Rihanna looks like she scams rich white men and Lupita is the computer smart best friend that helps plan the scans.” More people seemed to agree with him as they started drawing up storylines for a fictional film and imagining who should join the behind-the-scenes team—tagging DuVernay and Rae in the process.

Things got a bit more serious when Nyong’o tweeted their work at Rihanna, saying “I’m down if you are.” Rihanna  tweeted back, saying “I’m in Pit’z.”

Ava DuVernay will reportedly direct the film, Rihanna and Nyong’o  will star while Issa Rae will write the script. Rae confirmed with Vanity Fair that the project is in the works.

Two Music Titans Release their First Collabo and Its Now Our Record of the Week

Riding the overwhelming success that his recent body of work ‘DAMN’ has so far garnered, Kendrick Lamar practically owned radio airwaves around the world with his track ‘HUMBLE’ and he’s looking to do the same with his collaborative effort ‘LOYALTY’.

This second release from the album is the first time these two music icons and chart topping artists have come together on a track, the long wait perhaps being due to the fact that Riri happens to be friends with Drake who has been on occasion perceived to be Kendrick’s music rival.

Their alleged rivalry aside, ‘LOYALTY’ took airwaves by storm and involves Rihanna singing (and at some point showing off her rap skills) while Kendrick what we all know him to do best which …you guessed it…. is to spit some serious bars.

Coming only one week after he ruled our airwaves as record for the week with ‘HUMBLE’, Kendrick is back to reclaim his throne as ‘Record of the Week’ with the Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, Terrace Martin, Son Wave and DJ Dahi produced jam ‘LOYALTY’.

Here are the songs lyrics;

[Intro: Mr. Talkbox]

[Pre-Chorus: DJ Dahi]
I said I’m geeked and I’m fired up (fired, fire)
All I want tonight is just to get high up (high, high, high)
Girl, you look so good, it’s to die for (die for)
Ooh, that pussy good, it’s to die for (on fire)

[Chorus 1: Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna]
It’s a secret society
All we ask is trust
(All we ask is trust)
All we got is us
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty

[Verse 1: Kendrick Lamar]
Kung Fu Kenny now
My resume is real enough for two millenniums
A better way to make a wave, stop defendin’ them
I meditate and moderate all of my wins again
I’m hangin’ on the fence again
I’m always on your mind
I put my lyric and my lifeline on the line
And ain’t no limit when I might shine, might grind
You rollin’ with it at the right time, right now
(Only for the dollar sign)

[Verse 2: Rihanna]
Bad gyal RiRi now
Swerve, swerve, swerve, swerve, deeper now
On your pulse like it’s EDM
Gas in the bitch like it’s premium
Haul ass on a bitch all in the fast lane
Been a bad bitch way before any cash came
I’m established
Hundred carats on my name
Run the atlas, I’m a natural, I’m alright

[Verse 3: Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna]
I’m a savage, I’m a asshole, I’m a king
Shimmy-yeah, shimmy-yeah, shimmy-yeah, rock (yeah)
You can tell your nigga he can meet me outside (yeah)
You can babysit him when I leave him outside
Ain’t no other love like the one I know
I done been down so long lost hope
I done came down so hard I slowed
I don’t sleep forever, all a real nigga want

[Pre-Chorus: DJ Dahi]
I said I’m geeked and I’m fired up (fired, fire)
All I want tonight is just to get high up (yeah)
(All I want is, all I want is)

[Chorus 2: Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna]
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
10-4, no switchin’ sides
Feel somethin’ wrong
You actin’ shifty, you don’t ride
With me no more, I need
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty

[Verse 4: Kendrick Lamar]
Tell me who you loyal to
Is it money? Is it fame? Is it weed? Is it drink?
Is it comin’ down with the loud pipes and the rain?
Big chillin’, only for the power in your name
Tell me who you loyal to
Is it love for the streets when the lights get dark?
Is it unconditional when the ‘Rari don’t start?
Tell me when your loyalty is comin’ from the heart

[Verse 5: Rihanna & Kendrick Lamar]
Tell me who you loyal to
Do it start with your woman or your man? (Mmm)
Do it end with your family and friends? (Mmm)
Or you’re loyal to yourself in advance?
I said, tell me who you loyal to
Is it anybody that you would lie for?
Anybody you would slide for?
Anybody you would die for?
That’s what God for

[Pre-Chorus: DJ Dahi]
I said I’m geeked and I’m fired up (fired, fire)
All I want tonight is just to get high up
(All I want is, all I want is)

[Chorus 2: Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna]
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
10-4, no switchin’ sides
Feel somethin’ wrong
You actin’ shifty, you don’t ride
With me no more, I need
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty

[Outro: Rihanna]
It’s so hard to be humble
It’s so hard to be
Lord knows I’m tryin’
Lord knows I’m dyin’, baby

Rihanna Features In Final Season Of “Bates Motel” – Watch!

After giving us the first look of Ocean’s Eight on set, Rihanna reveals her “Bates Motel” character Marion Crane.

Riri features in a new trailer for the drama’s final season where it seems the main character Norman Bates is spying on her in the shower.

In the film, Crane stole her boss’ money and arrived at Bates Motel while evading law enforcement. She was killed in the film’s first act, but this version of Crane will be more detailed, according to executive producer Kerry Erin.

“We’re taking threads of that story and definitely using them so it’s recognizable, it’s just where we go with it is very different,” Ehrin told EW. “It’s tough to be in a situation where you’re in love with a guy, and for whatever reason, he keeps stalling. You still have all this hot sex with him, and he’s saying he loves you, but he’s stalling. The internal story of that, for a woman, is a really interesting one. We never really got to see that. In Psycho, you just see the outside of that more. It was trying to do a story about a contemporary woman with some edge, with some expectations, who isn’t perfect, who isn’t always perfectly sweet, who is in that situation, but we’re rooting for her to get what she wants.”

Rihanna will appear in multiple episodes. Make sure you watch it when it returns for its final season on Monday, Feb. 20.

Rihanna And Azealia Banks Go At It On Social Media

These days, when Azealia Banks decides to go off on you, it’s usually not such a big surprise although it almost always makes headlines and this time, she went for none other then bad girl Ririr. Why you ask? Well, Rihanna posted this on twitter:

“Disgusted, The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!” in relation to President Donald Trump’s executive order, that temporarily bans refugees from coming to the U.S. and temporarily bars nationals from Iran and six other major Muslim countries.

Azealia, a Trump supporter, quickly came for Rihanna.

“As far as Rihanna (who isn’t a citizen, and can’t vote) and all the rest of the celebrities who are using their influence to stir the public, you lot really REALLY need to shut up and sit down,” Banks, 25, wrote. “Stop chastising the president. It’s stupid and pathetic to watch. All of these confused people confuse other confused people. Hoping the president fails is like getting on an airplane and hoping the pilot crashes. What makes you think, the the USA is going to enter the Middle East destroy a bunch of shit and pull out without any real repercussions ????”

The rest was history after that.

Jayz’s Tidal Accused Of Inflating Subscriber Numbers For Over A Year.

If indeed Jay Z still has 99 problems, Tidal is one!

According to a published in depth report by Norwegian business paper Dagens Naeringsliv, Jay Z’s Tidal has been inflating its subscriber totals.

In early 2015, Jay Z  relaunched Tidal  alongside a cast of fellow artist-owners including Beyonce, Kayne West, Madonna, Calvin Harris, Rihanna and Jason Aldean saying “This thing was the thing everyone wanted and everyone feared,”  “If these artists can sit in a room together, the game changes forever. And that happens today.” He had previously paid $56 million for the Oslo-based streaming service, which was publicly traded at the time.

Exclusive releases by Beyonce, West and Prince (whose estate is currently battling Tidal over rights to release the singer’s music) have undoubtedly helped to drive new customers to the service, but it still trails category leader Spotify by tens of millions, according to the Norwegian business paper.

This report suggests the gap may be even wider than believed. Tidal reported 3 million subscribers last March, and told The Verge the figure did not include trial subscribers. The following month, the company’s internal count stood at 1.2 million still according to the report.

Among the 3 million paying subscribers that Tidal claims to have more than half of those are high-paying, $20-a-month audiophiles, according to the company.   Separate reports have claimed up to 6 million subscribers.

Tobiassen and Saeter (Both from the Norwegian business paper) interviewed staffers at TIDAL, as well as partners and confidential sources and the information that came back was pretty damning “When 16 of the world’s biggest pop stars, one a convicted cocaine smuggler and a former Israeli intelligence officer was not able to obtain enough customers to Jay Z’s Tidal, the company began to inflate subscription numbers,” the report alleges.

Arthur Sund, former Manager of the streaming company’s Business Intelligence Department, is actually suing the company for deliberate misreporting.  His boss, Lior Tibon, accused Sund of cooking the books and fired him, leading to the lawsuit.

Sund says that 170,000 subscribers magically appeared in October.  But these were dead accounts being revitalized, with zero actual activity.  “My conscience is clear. If I have ever been involved in misreporting, then it has been under the instructions of Lior Tibon himself,” Sund told the business paper.

The Jay Z owned company has also been accused of not paying on time or failing to pay at all and that  includes artists, as well as entire indie indie labels.

Tidal has however denied any wrong doing in the matter.
