P-Unit Back With A New Track ‘Chocha’ – Watch

It’s been a couple of years since we heard new music from Genge trio P-Unit. Now that wait is over.

Bon Eye, Frasha, and Gabu are back with a new track ‘Chocha’ which is all about how people lead exaggerated lives on social media.

The group which was formed back in 2003 has now regrouped and it sure seems like they’re out to give local artists a run for their money.

Check out the Enos Olik directed music video below:

The Bobby Mapesa Rant about P Unit That Just Does Not Make Sense

Bobby Mapesa is back on the scene with a rather shocking allegation. The ‘Wezere’ star took to his YouTube page (which is weird because who rants on YouTube??) to talk about how P Unit have been jacking his style.

He writes that the trio used his jam ‘Wezere’ to come up with ‘Kare’, ‘Kamoja Tu’ to record ‘Si Lazima Tu Do’ and ‘Tuko Mbele’ for their jam ‘Tuko Juu Tu Sana’ something I find utterly ridiculous.

I mean in all honesty, which of those jams even sound like the other? I could be wrong but I’m calling out this rant as a stunt to rake in more publicity right at the opportune time that he’s releasing a new jam, which he just so conveniently is.

Lol. Is the hype worth it though? Let us know what you think.

Would You Pay Ksh. 2500 To Watch P-Unit?

If your answer to that question was NO, then this article is for you!

When Wizkid performed in the 254 last year, the cheapest tickets went for Kshs. 1500. Davido performs at the Carnivore next weekend, and the cheapest tickets you can get now are Kshs. 2500. And thousands of people will turn up for that event!

But if the show was headlined by a local act (say, P-Unit), how many of us would be willing to part with that kind of cash?

Well that’s how much P-Unit fans in Dubai will be paying for tickets to attend Industry Nite on the 26th of March. The hit-making trio will perform at Domeland in Al Nasr, and the tickets are going for 100 dirham (that’s Kshs. 2500).

It’s a shame that our acts make more money from shows away from home!
