Ne-Yo is hardly ever in the public eye. He manages to live a relatively silent private life with his wife and two kids but his music is what screams the loudest in his life.
The R&B crooner released his new album ‘Good Man’ last Friday making it his seventh studio album. This is unlike any other album Ne-Yo has released before as it features rap/R&B hybrids, in which the singer floats his flexible voice over various beats.
Various artists are featured in ‘Good Man’ including Party Next Door, Eric Bellinger, and Candice Boyd. Ne-Yo’s songwriting skills are clearly portrayed in the album so you know you getting nothing less than his previous hit tracks like “So Sick” and “Because of You”.
Here’s a list of the tracks included in the album:

From the man who already has numerous collaborations and affiliations with international stars one of whom is Ne-yo, comes yet another fire collaboration.
Diamond Platnumz reflects on just how great a journey he has had thus far in his most recent album ‘A Boy From Tandale’, and is ruling airwaves on HBR as your Record of the Week with his Rick Ross single ‘Waka’.
The single (Waka) which only just dropped features some rather explicit lyrics from this ‘Na Na Na’ singer like the hook which reads….
F**k you like nobody Sucking your all body Rocking everyday party Clean b**ch playing dirty Ooh!
Having had quite the eventful year with entertainment news sites having a field day with the infinitely scandal that he, his wife Zari and assumed mistress Hamisa Mobetto were involved in, it’s definitely a good change of pace that this Bongo Flava star redirects our attention back to his music, and what better way than by working with one of Hip Hop’s most iconic stars.
It’s the year of Tanzanian singer/songwriter Diamond Platnumz. His latest hit single “Marry You,” featuring American R&B icon NE-YO has already landed at the #1 spot on ITUNES (Kenya), announces Africa Creative Agency (ACA).
Diamond Platnumz’s “Marry You” is a monumental release for East Africa, and Kenya in particular because the song was recorded in Nairobi, Kenya (2015) and it’s his first major label release since becoming the first East African artiste to sign to Universal Music Group – the world’s leading entertainment company. On top of that, Africa Creative Agency in partnership with SK Entertainment recently secured a record and publishing deal for Diamond with Universal Music Group.
Diamond and NE-YO have kept close contact since their first meet up in Kenya. Through “Marry You”, the label mates flaunt a successful show for their camaraderie. The video shot in Los Angeles and Johannesburg has already surpassed 2 Million YouTube views in just 2 weeks, and is also trending #1 in Kenya.
Diamond got in studio with Ne-yo while he was in East Africa and their collabo is one of the most anticipated one.
They recently shared a stage during a concert where Ne-yo specifically requested (as most artists do) that people not duplicate his performance via video footage taken from their cameras or from their video phones.
Well it was at that concert that the two gave people a taste of that song thanks to brave and rebellious concert ‘goer’.
Ne-Yo is not just a wiz at making amazing music; he is also a pretty good actor as well, having appeared in movies like Stomp the Yard, Save The Last Dance 2 and TV series’ CSI: NY and 90210.
But Ne-Yo is taking his talent to the stage, appearing as the Tin Man in The Wiz Live!, NBC’s adaptation of the 1975 Broadway musical. PEOPLE magazine released the first photos of the actors in costume, and mad props go to costume designer Paul Tasewell who made Ne-Yo almost indistinguishable in his outfit.
The cast of this production also includes the likes of Mary J Blige, Queen Latifah and rapper Common.
R&B music has been the soundtrack to many people’s “sessions” for the longest time ever, and that is not about to change.
Who can forget R. Kelly’s Bump N Grind, Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing or Usher’s Love In This Club? Well as the month of love winds down to a close we take a look at two of the best babymaking songs that have been released in 2015.
Even though lately R&B sounds a lot like Trap music, there are still some artists in 2015 who continue to make that “mood music”.

The video to this song is proof enough!
