Jay Sean Features Davido In New Track “What You Want” – Listen

British R&B singer/songwriter Jay Sean has featured Davido in a new track titled “What You Want”.

Jay Sean who is notably known for his 2009, American debut single “Down brings his A game to this track forming a nice fusion with Davido.

Davido has been doing collaborations with international acts including the most recent “Pere” featuring Young Thug and Rae Sremmurd which was once Record of the Week here at HBR.

Have a listen to “What You Want” below:

Davido’s Anticipated Rae Ssremurd & Young Thug Collabo #ROTW

It was once rumored to always be a race-to-the-top between Niaja emcees Davido and Wizkid.

Well, Wizkid’s got a number of chart topping international collabos and whether it’s in proof of their long lasting competition or not, Davido has only just also released another one of his international collabos and it’s already made it to be Record of the Week (ROTW).

Featuring Rae Ssremurd and Young Thug, this Sony signed star goes ham on the DJ Mustard produced beat worthy of the top position on any music chart, somegthing we already predict to happen.

Davido who has been in the country a number of times has had a few cross over hits before now, with artists from Africa like Mafikizolo and Diamond Platnumz as well American singer Tinashe.

The video to this brand new one, ‘Pere’ garnered over one million views in under 5 days and will now enjoy a week’s long airplay and bragging rights as HBR’s record of the week.

Empire Actress Taraji Applauds Davido’s Music

Davido’s new jam “How Long” featuring Tinashe has been getting major props since its release and now FOX TV series star Taraji P. Henson loves it too.

The actress took to Instagram to express her love for good music. Taraji posted a screenshot image on her instagram while she was listening to Davido’s song “How long”. She captioned this beside the image.

“ANYBODY who knows me know I LOVE MUSIC!!!especially WORLD MUSIC!!! Thank you @tymwallacehair for turning me on to another heater!!!💋💋💋,” She wrote.

Davido obviously elated replied writing:

“Big ups Taraji P. Henson Let me bring that African heat to Empire!! One episode is cool for me Lol.”

The Sony RCA records artist dropped the 5-track EP a couple weeks back, which sees him attempting to appeal to his African audience as well as an international audience to justify his Sony deal.

Cookie has just proved that she listens to African music and enjoys it too.

May D ft Davido & Akon – Hustle (watch)

It seems that Davido has decided to wake up and smell the coffee after he was shunned from the MAMAs and his rival took home the big wins i.e. Wizkid. He dropped ‘How long’ with Tinashe a while back which has been getting some massive airplay and now, he has come together with May D and Akon on this track ‘Hustle’.

Is it a hit or a miss?

Tinashe And Davido Collaborate On New Song ‘How Long’ (Watch)

First off, did you know that Tinashe is part Zimbabwe? No? You’re welcome. She and Davido, who has been silent for a while now, dropped their first ever collaboration video a few hours ago named ‘How Long’. The song can be found in his album ‘Son of Mercy’ which also contains a song named  ‘Gbagbe Oshi’ that he released prior to this one.

Most Followed African Artists On Instagram

They make great hits and live lavish lifestyles. It’s for these two reasons that the following celebrities have garnered the amount of following they have on instagram.

Well that and the fact that they’ve in some way made the scene thanks to some degree of scandal.

Leading the pack is Nigerian Sony signed emcee Davido with 2.9 million followers, taking over from Diamond who had topped that list for a very long time with 2.7 million.

Davido and Diamond are followed closely by Wizkid who’s got 2.5 million followers and just who follows next? Here’s the brief list.

2.2 million followers – Don Jazzy (who ties with Tiwa Savage).

1.8 million followers – Vanessa Mdee.

1.4 million followers – Ali Kiba.

1.2 million followers – Yemi Alade .

A Davido and Tinashe Collabo Could Be In The Works (Pic)

Right after Wizkid snags the number one spot on Billboard’s Top 100 thanks to Drake’s ‘Views’ single ‘One Dance’, Davido is in studio feeling the pressure to match up to (or possibly out do) him.

The recently signed Sony Music Global artist has been talking about his star studded album whose release date remains unknown and he’s now teased us with an in-studio pic of him hanging out with ‘2 On’ singer Tinashe, captioning it;

‘Can you make me feel like number 1?’
