Migos’ “Culture II” Album Makes History

The best-selling rap trio Migos have been making major moves with their recently dropped album “Culture II”.

The album earned its second Billboard 200 No.1 making Migos the fifth rap group ever to have at least two chart-topping LPs. The “Stir Fry” rappers have joined Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and D12. 

Culture II, which boasts appearances from Drake, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Travis Scott, earned much of its success through streaming.

Migos Dominate ROTW With Their Superstars Single

Kicking off 2018 with viral Culture II trend on twitter, trap music trio Migos are clearly on the right path as far as musical success is concerned.

Their now world famous release, Culture II, is a sequel to their previous collection Culture and features previously released singles ‘Stir Fry’ and ‘Motor Sport’.

Along with a successful run on music charts in the past, Migos have influenced hip hop and trap music in a major way, coming up with what is now widely known as the ‘Triplet Flow’, a flow that has become a staple with almost every trap artist.

Superstars features this iconic and trademarked flow of theirs and has dropped coincidentally within the same year as their Bet Rap Album 2018 Grammy nomination.

Migos Reveal Producers List For “Culture II” Album

With “Culture II” now just days away from dropping, Migos have shared the list of the sequel’s list of producers.

Sharing the news via Instagram, the picture cited DJ Durel and Quavo as Culture II‘s executive producers.

Other producers include: Metro Boomin, Honorable C Note, Buddah Bless, 808 Gods, Pharrell, Cardo, Cassius Jay, Zaytoven, Ricky Racks, OG Parker, Fki, Mike Dean (with additional production from Kanye West), Earl the Pearl, and Quavo himself.

There are a couple of new additions to the list most notably Pharrell, who did “Stir Fry”. The album’s tracklist has not been released yet but according to Quavo’s interview with Beats 1’s Ebro Darden, the project will have 24 tracks.

“Culture II” is due to drop this Friday, January 26.
