Thanks to her FENTY PUMA Creeper sneaker, Rihanna was laced with a major honor with Shoe of the Year at the “Shoe Oscars,” which were held at IAC Headquarters in New York.
Prior to the ceremony, Riri shared a sentiment of disbelief on winning the award. “In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined an honor like Shoe of the Year,” she said. “It means so much to me to make a mark like this in the shoe and sneaker industry and to have so many people share my love for the Creeper.”
The ANTI superstar expressed her appreciation when receiving the award saying, “I didn’t really expect people to love it the way I do. It means so much to me to be receiving this award tonight.”
RiRi wasn’t the only star in attendance. Zendaya also obtained the Launch of the Year award for Daya by Zendaya, an honor presented by Michael Kors.
It sure has been an epic year for RiRi. Outside of her work with PUMA, she also released her eighth album ANTI which was a huge hit. She’s also been acting, filming Valerian and Ocean’s Eight.
