This week’s record of the week features two former Jump Off freshmen Oksyde and Khaligraph Jones. It’s the jam called ‘Atiyo Matek’ which is enjoying plenty of airplay and whose video was brought to you by Chief Rocker Entertainment while the crisp clear audio was recorded at Blu Ink studios later being mastered at Swim Records.
The Kenyan hip hop scene has shown considerable growth in the recent past with the uprise of hip hop driven events like HBR’s Miss Ruby V’s ‘The Un-Cut Cypher’ and jams like ‘Atiyo’ are proof of how rife the 254 hip hop scene is.
So what’s it like when two of Kenya’s emcees come together for a jam?
In case you haven’t been able to sample it before, here is a look at Oksyde and Khaligraph’s collabo ‘Atiyo-Matek’.
