Just a few weeks after British Pop princess Rita Ora visited Kenya, another British singer is in the country.
Singer and song writer Ellie Goulding is in the country for the third UN Environment Assembly.
This comes after the ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer signed on as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for UN Environment, joining the fight to save the lives and habitats of people and animals by cleaning up our air and seas, fighting climate change and protecting species.
Ellie shared a picture on her Instagram spending time with the maasai at Maasai Mara captioning:
“Thank you to the #maasaimara community and @maraelephantproject. I am totally inspired by my return to Kenya. The wildlife I’ve seen so far and the people I’ve met have been unforgettable, life changing and very motivating to make change in the world #wildforlife @unenvironment”.
This should come as a challenge to our local celebrities and us as a country that we shouldn’t wait for international acts to come from overseas to protect the environment we live in.
