Hip Hop dance crazes have become a huge part of our culture. Dances like ‘Walk It Out’, ‘Shmoney Dance’ and ‘Wobble’ and most recently ‘Dab’ have gone viral all thanks to the internet.
It’s amazing how something as simple as a dance can travel so far and be done by several different people around the world. You can easily learn the dances via YouTube, let go, be silly and have a little fun.
Here are 5 hip-hop dance crazes that made their way around the Web in recent years:
Lean and Dabb
iLoveMemphis’ track ‘Lean and Dabb’ went viral all thanks to the Lean and Dabb dance.
It seemed like a rather simple move that no one really expected would go viral but it did. Drake’s biggest hit of his career ‘Hotline Bling’ video got people making fan videos and memes on the dance. Even the former president of U.S.A danced to Hotline Bling. That’s how viral it got!
Look At My Dabb
Atlanta rap trio Migos had the Internet hitting the Dab with their 2015 hit ‘Look At My Dabb’. Hell even the Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had to get in on the action.
Juju on that Beat
This dance got Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall getting even more popular with even kids jumping on it. The track “Juju on that Beat (TZ Anthem)” even got to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 just 4 weeks after its release.
Silento’s track “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” is what gave birth to this famous dance. The video has more than a billion views on Youtube, which actually proves how much the dance has gone viral.
