Remember when Justin Timberlake spared a brush with the law after he posted a photo on social media while voting?

Well, it’s actually the same thing that will happen to you if you are found taking selfys at a polling station.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) has announced that voters will not be permitted to take photographs at polling stations.

In an announcement made yesterday, the IEBC made it clear that people will be allowed to carry their cell phones to the polling stations but will not be allowed to take pictures or phone calls within the polling stations.

According to the body, this is meant to this is only meant to preserve the right of all voters to the secrecy of ballot as per the law.

You can still share your voting pictures though as the IEBC is allowing people to take pictures outside the polling stations.

“You may take all the selfies you want and make your calls freely, outside of the polling station,” IEBC wrote on twitter.

Let’s get out there and vote on August 8th. Make your voice heard.
